UX UMa is a Nova-like Variable star (NL) in the constellation Ursa Major, and the prototype for the high mass-transfer subclass (UX UMa-type). It is observed to be permanently bright due to a high, stable rate of mass accretion onto its white dwarf primary, forming a hot, stationary accretion disk.
